Description - 5' 2.5", Sallow complexion, hazel eyes, grey hair, several cuts on forehead, , married resident of Bridgwater, labourer. 1871 - 61 yrs, ostler, dwelling 2 Honeysuckle Alley, Bridgwater with wife and granddaughter Elizabeth Winter or Writer - 13 yr old general servant..
Wife LYDIA JONES abt 1814: Daughter of Isaac Jones and Judah. 1841 - 30 yrs. 1851 - 43 yrs. 1861 - 42 yrs? living Bridgwater supported by son, with 2 other offspring. 1871 - 63 yrs. 1881 - 67 yrs widow lodging in hh Emma Trunks along with son John, 9 Union St, Bridgwater. Died aged 73 yrs.

JOHN MELBOURNE ESCOTT 1848: 1851 - 4 yrs. 1861 - William John 13 yrs labourer - believe mum got a bit confused and called him William John in census, but then again I found another baptism for a William John 12 Jun 1850!! . 1881 - John 33 yrs unmarried mariner, lodging in hh Emma Trunks, 9 Union St Bridgwater along with mother.
ROBERT JONES ESCOTT 1843: 1851 - 8 yrs, living with parents. 1861 - 18 yrs, Tailor or sailor, living with mother and siblings while father in jail.
WILLIAM JOHN ESCOTT 1832: 1841 - 8 yrs. 1851 - 19 yrs, labourer, living with parents.
