ONTARIO
An interesting family here. Just about all immigrated to Canada from North Petherwin area which is sometimes associated with Cornwall and other times with Devon.
Now it would seem that the parents of all these young men intended to join the family but unfortunately they didn't get far from Englands shores when disaster struck and they drowned. There is a very comprehensive website about the sinking of this ship and subsequent court case online. http://www.rsandthefaces.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/fh/john/index.html
What does interest me is the other lot of Eastcotts on board - are they part of this family, and if so, where do they fit? Was there another son before Edmund. I believe Sarah to be Edmund's first wife and four of the children are their brood.
